2023 was an awesome year for Willow Training Centre. I had an interesting start to the year that due to other restraints meant the first course I facilitated for the year was not until the end of April. However, the momentum gained and by the end of November I had the privilege of training over 300 individuals in either Mental Health First Aid or Gatekeeper, Suicide Prevention.
In the small business space I had the honour of hosting and sharing at a City of Gosnells BiG event, a Superior Business Networking event with other key speakers, including Lesa Hinchliffe, author of Entrepreneur to Megapreneur and to the staff at a high school around Mental Health Awareness Week.
I have met amazing people from diverse backgrounds and worked with people who a few years ago I would never imagined having the opportunity to do so or even considered as an option.
I love what I do and to know that I have the opportunity to raise mental health literacy within the community and to see many different organisations lifting their game in equipping staff to recognise mental health issues in the workplace is inspiring.
I am so excited for 2024 and the opportunities that await. My diary is already filling up fast with upcoming courses and it spurs my passion on to see more individuals engaging in this space.
Thank you to all those who have believed in me, spurring me on from the sidelines and thank you to those who have trusted me by investing their time to attend a course and learn about mental health.
Can't wait to start back next week with the first training of the year!!
